Standard of Living Reflection

I think it is important to learn about standard of living so we know what places need aid. When we know a place’s standard of living we also know what they need aid for. For example if we know a place’s standard of living and they have really bad wealth we know to help them in wealth.
Ideas of economics and standard of living can be analyzed by the five themes because if a place
has a poor standard of living we can analyze their place and see what it’s like their and find out if they
need help. Also we can look at the amount of power lines if any and see if ideas are spread around and
everyone knows an idea everyone can use it. Economics can be analyzed by the five themes because
with movement you can see how people are trading and move their goods around. Also economic
systems and natural resources can define a region. Als with human and environment interaction there is
natural resources being used to make goods.

5 themes of geography
Analyzing the world with the five themes of geography helps people understand connections with people and the world better by showing people what places are like and how people use, adapt or change the environment there. Also how people differentiate places and why they differentiate places. Showing how one place is different from the other in culture, land features, and many other diverse characteristics.
I think the hardest theme of geography to understand is movement. I think movement is hardest to understand because I think the other themes are simple. For example location is just knowing how to find the absolute location with longitude and latitude and relative location is knowing the direction and distance from a place to the place your talking about. Also I think place is easy to understand because place is what it is like at a place and its human characteristics and physical characteristics. Next is human and the environment which I think is a step above place and location and is a little harder to understand because you need to understand three things. One thing is adapt which is how people change in response to an environment. Another piece of human and the environment is alter which is how people change the environment to live in a more suitable fashion. Finally the last part of human and the environment is use which is how people use resources to make materials to make life easier. Now last I think region is easy because all you have to know is that the world is divided into regions based on characteristics of a place and region can overlap creating multiple regions in the same area. Map of Franklin
When thinking of basic map skills i find the names of Continents and Oceans easy. I find knowing the Oceans and Continents easy because there are only around ten combined Continents and Oceans that I need to know. I struggled the most with coordinates. I struggled the most with coordinates because I think it is hard to find the exact longitude and latitude of places like Franklin because it is in between numbers and has a lot of decimals. Basic map skills are necessary because you need map skills throughout your whole life to find where you are, where you're going and how to get there.
